Just because the new youngsters haven’t found the net doesn’t mean they aren’t contributing.
Brad Lambert is averaging 9:30 of ice time in the 7 games he’s played thus far. He’s 42.9% in the face-off circle.
18 year old Viggo Björck is averaging 14:41 minutes on the ice, and is 32.4% in FOW.
If you’re to consider some of the heavyweights, and veterans they are going up against on opposing squads - that grit & determination is noted - and no doubt will be fruitful as they gain more experience in the NHL.
It’s not bated breath - it’s exciting anticipation, as well as showing fans that the Jets management is shifting to a younger core - something fans have wanted for some time.
For Björck especially - no doubt that first point will be a monumental relief when it comes.
Patience is a virtue.
