The Winnipeg Monarchs are arguably off to their best start in franchise history.
The newly named Monarchs are 5-8-1 in 14 games played.
Entering the MJHL as the Winnipeg Freeze in 2021-22, the two best seasons the organization has had was in its inaugural season as the Freeze when they finished with a 10-40-4 record, and:
Last season would be almost equally as best - with an 11-45-2 record as the Monarchs.
Just 14 games in, the young club sits with a .393 winning percentage.
Analyzing the 14 games played thus far, the Monarchs have shown resiliency in 85%+ of these contests - showing they can win key battles.
They have defeated Waywayseecappo, Northern Manitoba, Dauphin, and Portage - some tough teams there.
They can outscore tough opponents. From the post
Thanks in part to 3 players being in the Top 15 in league points - the Monarchs are not a team to be taken lightly.
If they can score - and they can - it doesn’t matter what comes back the other way. They can outscore tough opponents.
We can’t officially ring a Milestone bell, but for argument sake - wouldn’t hurt to have your hand close by it.
Upwards trajectory is a thing we all strive for, and the Monarchs clearly seem to be on that track.
