Coming off a tough loss to the Portage Terriers the night before, the Norman Blizzard were looking to storm out of the gate early in their game against the Winnipeg Monarchs, at the Hockey For All Centre.
The Blizzard wasted no time almost scoring in the opening minute of play. That momentum would keep working as they scored 3 in 16:30 of the first period. In that first 20:00 the game’s 1st star - Kayne Huang (pictured) was already cemented - as he contributed in all 3 Blizzard goals (1G 2A).
Not to be outdone, Matthew O’Sullivan put the game out of reach late in the 2nd, scoring a beauty - his first in a Blizzard uni since splitting the season before with the Winnipeg Blues & Dauphin Kings.
Will Bridgeo stopped 28/30 shots in net. Norman improves to 2-3-0-0, and the Monarchs fall to 0-3-1-0.
